Artist-in-residence program
In order to help them in their professional development, My monkey gallery supports the approach of young artists or groups of artists and assists them in the achievement and/or the diffusion of their project by offering them professional conditions of accompaniment and confrontation with the public. The invited artists can thus benefit from the know-how and expertise of the association's team to complete their knowledge and develop the tools necessary for their evolution. They also benefit from a privileged access to the network of the association (artists, structures, distributors...) as well as to its tools (space of diffusion, photo studio...). The residencies are considered according to two independent or complementary axes according to the artists:
- research/creation residency
- collaborative residency
The result of these residences is done through an exhibition, public or private meetings, edition or web diffusion.
Conditions
The technical and human resources made available vary according to the type of residency, the funding and the partners mobilized. The artists in residence have access to the display space for an exhibition or a specific event as well as to the equipped photo studio.
The duration of the residencies is variable.
Selection
Calls for projects are issued for any new residency available. They define the reception framework, the conditions, the theme if necessary. The files are studied by the My monkey team.
